Cooper S or JCW????

Afternoon all,
I need a a small fun car to run around locally in - predominantly to go to the station whenI have to get into London. However I want something that is a bit of a hoot and great for blowing the cobwebs away down my local country lanes. I have tried alot of cars and nothing comes close to the Cooper S or JCW hatch. I'm looking at spending about £10k so it's either going to be a poverty spec 08 JCW or well specc'd 09 Cooper S.
So what do people recommend? Are there any must have options?

Well I've gone against the grain and opted for a Cooper S with alot of options. Haggled really hard with the main dealer and got it for a good price - in fact just over a thousand quid more than the wbac price for that car. I've always bought with my heart and lost shed loads on motors over the years. The difference in wbac was just over a 1k on th cooper s compared to nearly 5k on the jcw. Oh dear I've also broken the man maths rules :0)
