The MINI GP market

Hi there, I've been looking at buying something 'fun' for occasional use for the last month or so, having initially narrowed the search to a Clio V6, Elise or MINI GP, I've now pretty much decided to go down the GP (first edition) route - there are few low (ish) mileage cars currently on the market, is there anything in particular to look out for/have checked on these cars?
I'm after a really nice example (under 30k) - how is the market for these cars? Are they likely to rise in price, or are they not particularly sort after?

I just paid 9k for a 56k standard one and its pretty spotless

I've had a Clio V6, and a few exiges and Elise's too (still own an S1 exige) - the great thing about the Mini is that it's is 100% usable...

I've just agreed a deal on a 22k mile GP 1 - hopefully will be picking it up next week, seriously looking forward to it!
