Picked up SWMBO new JCW on Monday.
Came up to Yorkshire Dales on Friday, 4up and I have just done 200 miles around the dales and over to the Lake District.

Now bearing in mind I'm not even using half throttle and not going over 4000 revs whilst running it in, and bearing in mind my car is a Lotus Evora I must admit to being a bit blown away by this car. For what it is it's bloody fantastic.

The exhaust just begins to ramp up before I have to short shift, can't wait to be able to open it up, and the popping and banging is lovely. I love the Rev matching as well.

Ok it won't hold a candle to the Lotus on the fast stuff, but on the tight bends whilst it still won't keep up it's probably an easier drive (because the Lotus is quite wide at the rear).

All in all, fantastic. Had to share.

Sorry for multiple posts, but the iPad wipes the text when I toggle between tabs.

Here are some pics I posted on the JCW thread, it currently looks like it's been driven through a field though!

As far as the tyres are concerned my wife preferred the look of the 17s which also meant we didn't get the run flats. From all the reviews I have seen the press cars seem to pretty much exclusively run the 18s and run flats.

I can't really comment on the run flats but the p-zeros on the 17s seem to grip pretty well in wet and dry. (Funnily the Evora runs p-zeros as well - just a bit bigger).

I have driven/had some serious cars in my time and am really quite impressed with this one. A few bits where they have tried to save a pound or two and they really shouldn't have, but it really is great fun.
