Would just like to add to the forum the problems already encountered with my new (01/09/2015) mini JCW, and most not covered by warranty;
Month 2 - Idrive system stops working, reset by dealership ( Faifield Leigh on Sea)
Month 2 - Idrive system automatically resets all settings back to factory settings clearing all memorised radio and sat nav settings , checked by dealership no fault found,
Month 3 - brake dust from front brakes starting to Pitt wheels (3000 miles) - not covered by warranty
Month 4 - Paint starting to peel from front brake calipers - not covered by warranty but dealership is replacing
Month 4 - black bonnet stripes started to show white through - dealership replacing
Month 4 - headlights condensating up -covered by warranty
Month 4 - drivers seat squeaking badly - dealership looking at moment
Month 4 - noticed that when doors are open the back edge off the A panel/door shut not painted ( how can paint warranty be valid without paint) - dealership painting
Month 4 - hooter not working on every press - covered by warranty

At the moment the car is at the dealership with them carrying out month 4 problems but I have already instigated to them that I am not happy with paying almost £30000 for something that has had so many faults so early on, if anyone else has had the pitting problem on the wheels I would like to know as Mini UK are not interested, I wouldn't mind and could understand if the car was 4-5 years old but not 3 months, but having said that I also own a 4 year old Mercedes SL63 AMG with bigger and hotter brakes than the JCW and no signs of pitting, both vehicles wheels are cleaned with a non caustic traffic film remover.
