Mini Cooper Hatch 2014 idle stalling

Evening all, I have a 14 plate mini cooper 1.5 petrol (latest model).

For about 3 months now it will stall when cold starting and left at idle. Any ideas what might be causing it? It's going in for its first service next month but wondered if it was something simple/common?

had it serviced and flagged the issue to BMW, they couldnt replicate the fault despite having it an extra day... then it did it as i started it up and went out the showroom

Decided not to worry because it is a lease and goes back soon, but it is persistently starting lumpy now. Will idle at 2k revs, then 1.5... then 1.... then stall before automatically starting again. Only ever happens when cold starting and once going it's fine. bizarre
