I have a fairly expensive pair of boots and bindings that I used only 5 or 6 times but would like to be rid of as they are too big for me. They are a good quality product in almost as new condition but possibly have little financial value being about 3 years out of date.

I also have an older pair of boots, board, bag and flow bindings that I have no use for and would like to be rid of.

Any bright ideas on the best place to advertise this stuff?

I don't do ebay as when I've tried in the past I've had very little success with it. My wife has tried advertising the better pair of boots on those local facebook groups for selling stuff and got no interest. The only other place I can think of is gumtree.

If I was trying to sneakily sell the stuff here don't you think I'd have mentioned what the stuff actually is?

I have sold snowboarding gear on eBay a few times with lots of success, you just need to be realistic on prices.

If you have a local Facebook group to sell stuff, then may as well do that for free as well, my Mrs is forever buying stuff on our local one.

Failing that snowheads has an equipment for sale section, advertise there as well.

Second hand stuff ain't worth that much though
Thanks for that, as it happens I think I've actually visited snowheads in the past. Any idea if they have rules about post counts and such to sell stuff? I did look but, it's not obvious.

As I say, my wife tried the boots on the local facebook groups without any joy, I could be asking too much certainly. £50 for a 3 year old boot that cost £200 too much?

It just hurts when you have something sitting around that you know is little different from a brand new product, seems so wasteful.

Its time to try again as things like this will sell on ebay (subject to time of year).
Ebay has 23 million registered users in the UK (with around 10m active users).
Fair point, I guess anything I get in an auction is better than nothing with them sitting in my cupboard! smile

collection / local pickup only.
Does that get much attention? I've always assumed that nobody really used ebay for local stuff as they would look for it elsewhere (gumtree).
