Announced by Richard Keys not long ago, no websites or sky sports news seem to have anything else on it though.

Time for Big Sam on Tyneside?? We certainly seem to need someone with his skills.

Not as yet, also just heard it on TalkSport.
Sky Sports News saying now he's been summoned to an emergency board meeting. hmmm.

I hear a lot of bad-mouthing about Sven, but none of it has been about his managerial achievements, which are actually pretty tasty.

1979-82: IFK Gothenburg
Swedish Cup Winners 1979
Swedish League Champions 1981
Swedish League Champions 1982
UEFA Cup Winners 1982

1982-84: SL Benfica
Portuguese League Champions 1983
Portuguese League Champions 1984
Portuguese Cup Winners 1983

1984-87: AS Roma
Italian Cup Winners 1986

1989-92: SL Benfica
Portuguese League Champions 1991

1992-97: Sampdoria UC
Italian Cup Winners 1994

1997-2000: SS Lazio
Italian Cup Winners 1998
Italian Super Cup Winners 1998
UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Winners 1999
UEFA Super Cup Winners 1999
Italian League Champions 2000

So he's won plenty of silverware at a club level.

And his England record (all matches), isn't actually that bad, sure there were games like the defeat at home to Australia but that was a friendly, England were unbeaten at home in competitive games.
Played--Won--Drawn--Lost--For--Against
67------40----17-----10----128----61

I rest my case.

True that!

Whilst Sven is a capable manager, his lack of passion on the sidelines was always a concern, perhaps with a decent #2 at his side...Shearer, for example, then we'd see some real interesting times ahead of us.

Indeed. 'Style Out'? Was there any style in the first place? There hasn't been style since Keegan.
