Had my first experience of the Goodwood Revival on the supposedly 'quiter' day of Friday. The racing, cars on display and atmosphere with so many people dressed in period outfits was great (those 1950's GP cars - fantastic).

Shame that the organisers have got greedy and oversold this. I would say that there are 20% too many tickets sold detracting from what could be such a good event. Such a pity that like most other things it has just become a mass of people, queues and frustation just trying to walk about the place!

If you got rid of the minority who just turn up in jeans and hoodies then it what probably be about right.

It is no doubt a great event as every post on here points out but why spoil it by selling so many tickets? Surely they could financially balance it with 10% less.

'Too busy' is relative - if you are used to travelling into London on the tube every day then the Revival is fine. If like me you like to enjoy walking around without constantly weaving and dodging masses of people then it spoils the event.

Despite all this I still enjoyed the fabulous old racing cars and dressing up but probably would not return.
