Loeb had to be away by 5pm hence his position after the mid afternoon delays (as a result of which we only got 1 run from him on the rally stage in the afternoon).
reason for said delay on sunday... bales and stakes needed replacing after the Unser Camaro went head on into it! the marshals were picking pieces of glass and headlights out of the bales! they worked quite rapid considering!

. No cheaper version that came without all the crap like a flimsy ear piece radio. Even just a sign post with the itinerary on would have been nice.
along with the smaller useful programme the radio is the only reason to buy a programme! didn't get one this year, as had an old radio which I thought still worked... looks like i need to buy a programme again next time..

The rally stage was terrible from Friday onwards. I went out on the stage on Friday in a mk2 escort and it felt like it was grounding out on half of it then. Still bloody good fun though. Sunday afternoon most of the cars bar LandRovers & WRC stuff had given up. Maybe Goodwood should look at re-surfacing it for next years FoS ? other than that if was another great year at Goodwood.
This was a shame as I decided to leave the rally until the last day (stayed at Racecourse campsite so not far) and then it was just a bit boring. It was still great to see just not the action packed stage I remember.
I was up by the start on friday morning, there was 1 conner near the end that was particularly bad.. I saw something fly through the air and wondered what it was, turned out to be a rock the size of my fist, could easily have hit someone, there were quite a few rocks flying on that corner!

is it not possible to construct a bridge crossing towards the top of the hill climb?
Just plan better, if you were in that much of a rush to get to the rally stage, why not walk up the other side of the hill!
