How close could you get to an all English road bike?

We can only opt into our company cycle to work scheme once a year in April, so I have a little time to think about what I might like to get.

One of the thoughts I was having is how close I might be able to get to an all English-made road bike? There seems to be a reasonable choice of frames, and Hope certainly do road bike hubs, but what else is out there?

Sorry, should've said. My employer fortunately has a consumer credit licence, so they let us spend up to £2k.

Not of course that I would ever contemplate spunking that on a bike in one year and then coming back and upgrading components in the following year!

Well I wouldn't say that! I'm accepting that I won't be able to get absolutely everything English. Just keen to see what I can get.
