Quickest ride yet... :D
Discussion
Went out for a quick blatt this evening whilst my wife went to aqua aerobics... and managed my quickest (solo) ride so far
Bearing in mind it was 24C and humid I managed to stay in the big ring the whole way (I have a 53/39 btw) and tried not to stop pedalling the whole way round, although I had to stop for a couple of minutes for a quick drink.
Distance: 13.0 mi
Elevation: + 249 / - 251 ft
Max Grade 15.9 %
Avg. Grade 0.2 %
Total Duration: 00:47:38
Moving Time: 00:44:00
Stopped Time: 00:03:38
Calories: 617
Avg. Watts: 283
Max Speed: 29.7 mph
Avg. Speed: 17.9 mph
Max Cadence: 112 rpm
Min Cadence: 19 rpm
Avg. Cadence: 91.9 rpm
Max Heartrate: 170 bpm
Min Heartrate: 102 bpm
Avg. Heartrate: 156.3 bpm
On the back of my best hill climbing ride last Thursday I finally feel that I am getting somewhere (I joined a gym 5 weeks ago and it has REALLY helped my riding).

Not sure where the power value comes from... presumably a guesstimate from the Garmin software based on weight, moving speed, temperature etc... does look a bit optimistic, I agree.
It is a very flat route with mostly left hand corners so it's quite easy to go quickly.
I can drink on the move, but it was so bloody hot I needed a quick breather.
It's not all flat in Dorset, far from it... there aren't any massively long hills, but there are plenty of them between 15-25% if you look hard enough.
