Who is using this app?

Its awesome I think and really brings out the competitive person in you!

I had it on for my route to work today and there is only 1 recognised section which is Castlenau, I was not gunning it and got stuck behind a bus but I can now see that I'm 25th out of 52 people and its going to be fun trying to get to the top of that list even though the person at the fron averaged 27 mph for the 0.6 mile stretch to my 21 today!

You mean you drafted a bus along whole the bus lane and still only managed 21mph average! Pah you need to try harder!
biggrin
If you know Castlenau its a lovley stretch (going in) as its all buslane, and if there was only one stop at either end you could draft like a demon, sadly there are about 5 bus stops in the space of half a mile. Stupid.

I'm going to absoloutley smash it to bits later, doing 27 mph for half a mile is fine, but its a busy road sadly! (and going the otherway there is no bus lane)

Tbh though guys, its more fun when you're out in the hills, I only had it on for the first 30 miles of my ride the other day (as I thought it had ost signal and turned it off) and on the Cat4 climb we did first I was amongst a long list of people.

Shame that I turned it off as on Sunday I did a lot of the climbs around Surrey and would be nice to see how I fare against others.

Jumped up to 6th on that section this morning, think I'll be able to crack first when my leg gets a bit better and the wind direction is slightly more favourable smile

oh, I assumed it would be both directions?!

I must admit I didn't do it last night as it was pissing with rain and my phone was being st.

But the way I've been recording it is coming from Barnes to Hammersmith, its a good stretch as its all buslane, and this morning I didn't get held up by buses, just a couple of people turning etc.

Its a long enough stretch to hurt though, 1.30 of max effort is tough first thing in the morning with a rucksack!!

I also didn't realise how soon it started and was probably not going that well at the beginning and slowed too early at the end.

I would totally ignore the power output as its impossible to calculate without knowing the exact amount of drag on from your tyres, your frontal area, the wind speed etc etc
Good work on that effort along castlenau, I'll keep trying to improve. I think I need to get some new tyres as mine are clearly hindering me wink

There are two other segments on my way home that I have noticed biggrin

Yeh. Just seems that every time it rains it creaks again.

Btw you can get that toolkit for about 25 some places

You could look at the bikeradar thread on strava, as a lot of the sections get mentioned there, but best bet is to just ride it and find out smile

Real bike hurt hurts.

I was on the last climb of a ride the other day which has a few 15%+ efforts and I wanted to stop and get off!!

Planning to, but my leg is hurting a bit at the minute. And I'm meant to be going out on Saturday night for a booze up, so I might head out sat morning instead tbh.
