This *might* make a good sticky, might not.

I want to know if anyone has an E90 3 series coupe and can fit their road bike in the boot (Im assuming wheels off)? It looks long enough but possibly not wide enough.

Maybe we could have a table of who fits what in where (ooh err).

Most don't. Not a popular option IME. Buttons on the top of the backrest?
They are split 60/40 and I can see catches. Just done some googling and discovered the release catch is in the boot, under the top of rear edge.

I'll check for this.

I can get my GT Avalanche in my Tuscan boot but wouldn't be able to stow the lid.
Good links, ta.

I used to have a coupe and can confirm my large frame ribble fitted in a treat. All the coupes have fold down seats with catches from the boot. It makes the car more practical than the saloon where, bizarrely, fold ..down seats are an option
Gold, many thanks.

The moment of truth Saturday morning:

1 58cm Cannondale Super Six and 1 E92 325i:

Both wheels off, its fairly straight forward. I doubt it would have gone in with either wheel still in but I didnt have time to try a number of different configs:

And even at that, it still required the seats folded forward:

Reardy Mister, you have an identical bike to me, size also smile

I had a lot of trouble getting it to fit in a 6 series (obviously seats dont go forward), so the saddle and both wheels etc had to come off which is a pain. Possibly looking to move to a 3 series at some point in the near future, so this is helpful.
After the tales on this thread, I felt confident it was going go in without too many issues. A major contributing factor is the size of the actual opening of the boot. Nonetheless, with wheels off its very straightforward and I'm happy to go to that small effort to ensure an easy fit and no scuffed bumpers or interior trim.

Very thankful the sets fold down though because I wasn't sure they did before I bought it!
