Any comments gratefully received. Good or bad. Anything you'd change etc.

The second bike is left in a patina state and will be rebuilt as new but without touching the paint other than a degrease and polish and wax.

I'll put some more pics up of that once I've got the thing rebuilt.

It's a Raleigh Race frame set with Gipiemme drop outs, Cinelli drop outs and a really right geometry so once rebuilt will ride really nicely. The last few parts will be coming in this week for that.

Hahaha cross posting as seloc and ph are the only two forums I use and both have pedally people!

The second one will have black Cinelli tape and a black Turbo saddle so maybe that will appeal a little more smile

I've built loads of mountain bikes over the years but this is an unknown for me.

I can't take credit for that. I have a mate that's a graphic designer and he gave me a load of fonts to look through and I picked that. He then put the logo's together.

The name is a play on words of my surname (Rhodes) with Strada Veloce being 'fast roads' in Italian.

Nice touch.

Can I ask roughly what it cost to build and finish? I'm looking for some art for the walls and something personal is always better. It'd also be great to have a bike for casual rides that don't require lycra and cleats. Sorely tempted to follow your example.
The intention was too build it and to then sell them on and make a small profit. Still doing it for the love and not to make a fully fledged business out of it. So whilst ordinarily I'd happily give you a breakdown I don't think at this stage it's fair to do so.

By all means email me to talk some more about the build etc.

Lush, powder coated or painted? Live grey, looks a little like Abarth grey on the Punto Evos.
It's painted by the same paint shop that paint the RAF Tornado's as I'm in the RAF.

Thanks for the kind comments. Good to know I wasn't miles off course.

All finished! Took a lot longer than planned as I've been working flat out. I'm really happy though and it's turned out great!

Need to be a bit more prolific on twitter and Facebook when I get back from afghan and put more build photos up when I do some more.
