Quick update for anyone looking for a new toy
20% off all road bikes at Halfords + 10% British cycling discount.
This takes a Boardman Team Carbon to £700 - for 105 and a carbon frame.
Boardman CX Team to £629 - Discs, Apex Groupset
Boardman CX Comp to £419 - Discs, Sora Groupset
And of course the Boardman Pro Carbon SLR Down to £1260 - for full Ultegra 11 speed, including wheels, 7.2kg
All of those are pretty decent value at list, but 30% off makes for very interesting pricing

Loving my CX team, bought it in November last year and put 2500 miles on it in the worst weather the winter had to offer. Discs make such a difference in the wet.
The Wifli 11/32 gearing means that for the vast majority of its life its running in the big ring. 50/32 will get up most things so I basically end up using it as a 1x10 setup with the option of the granniest of granny gears for those moments I feel I need it.
It's been on road tyres for most of its life but is about to receive a 46/36 chainset for CX racing this year.
Genuinely the bike that does everything.
That said I've upgraded mine pretty heavily - still think the original is a great deal but it's transformed by some judicious upgrades.
Kinesis CX disc wheels (700g lighter than the sinfully heavy stock wheels)
BB7r brakes (courtesy of another PHer, they are easier to adjust)
Ritchey WCS carbon Seatpost and Fizik saddle (Saved 500g over the stock)
Rival front mech (that one is essential, the original is a microshift that seems very poor)
Topeak Bar extender (I like the chicken levers but they don't leave much room for lights etc)
Bars and stem are next once I find some ritchey logic 2's on sale...
