Just a quick one. Please don't catch up the person who has passed you ,said hello whilst doing so and proceed to suck his wheel without making your presence known. You have NO idea what the guy 2inches in front of you is going to do and he. Doesn't know to let you know he's going to do something!
Last night riding into a headwind I over take a bloke, say hi press on. He decided to catch me up, suck my wheel, I don't know he's there, I come to my right turn, sit up and look over my shoulder to check for cars and signal, OH st, wheel sucker doesn't know what I'm doing, panics and god knows how we both dint end up on the floor.

So PLEASE, IF YOU ARE PASSED, LET THE PERSON GO OR SAY HI SO WE KNOW YOU'RE THERE!

I don't do this precisely because I want to see for myself what's coming up on the road in front of me. I'm too much of a control freak to bring myself to rely on the guy in front of me maybe or maybe not telling me about upcoming potholes.

What annoys me, therefore, is the opposite of the OP's complaint, namely people who put on a spurt to overtake, and then promptly drop back to a more sustainable effort once they've done so. If you want to go faster than me, that's fine, go faster, go past me and then keep going faster! Don't compensate for your lack of confidence in the size of your genitals by overtaking me and then forcing me to either slow down or overtake you in turn so as to not be forced to watch your hairy arse crack trying to escape your desperately threadbare old Lycra (in the case of one particular chap on Monday morning!) irked
I agree, that annoys me too. I just get fed up with people just being ignorant and not comunicating. Yesterdays rider might have been a cat 1 racer just having a 5 min rest for all I know, I just happened to be travelling faster than him at my pace at that moment. that's the point I don't know what his ride plan is, he doesn't know mine, so why ride so bloody close with out saying something.
