Cyclocross bike c£1500

So, not wishing to trash my roadbike over the winter but want to get some serious miles in rather than my usual 10 - 15 miles on my MTB, have decided to look at getting a Crosser (N plus 1 and all that). I live on the edge of Salisbury Plain so plenty of gravel tracks that the Army have kindly laid out for us cyclists (and the occasional Tank). Been looking at the Canyon offerings, may as well keep my stable consistent, but these are currently out of stock. Also looked at the On-One Pickenflick, lots of reviews earlier this year and seemed like great value for a Ti frame but cannot find them for sale anywhere. One final point, need one for me (6'1") and one for her (5'6") so need appropriate sizes.

So, what does the wisdom or PH recommend?
