Morning all,

I'm just in the process of ordering a new MTB, and have decided to go back to flats and learn proper technique, rather than just being able to pull up on SPDs.

I have an ageing pair of DMR V12s kicking around in the garage somewhere, but they're red (where they've not worn to white! hehe ) and the new bike is blue with black cranks, so would look truly dreadful, so I've been looking for something else.

I've seen things like DMR Vaults getting great reviews, but I don't really want to shell out another £80 on top of the price of the bike if I can help it.

The Wellgo B144 seems decent at half the price, as do the Superstar Delta Evos at £55.

Anyone got any recommendations? Ideal target would be £40 and available in blue! biggrin

Also think about decent shoes to go with them like some 5.10s.

I'm trying to stop my self spending a fortune on some pedals with it axles at the mo!
I didn't bother asking about shoes, as I'd found dozens of differing opinions on pedals, but nobody recommending anything other than Five Ten shoes. I'd never seen anything so universally recommended, and you've just further reinforced the view.
