What mountain bike?

Going to get back in to biking after the new year, looking at used bikes with budget of around £1500. I previously had a zesty 314 I got for a steal but it was a bit big so I sold it.

I've been looking mostly at them and orange fives, what else should I be considering?

Mostly trail riding with some more hardcore stuff thrown in when I get confidence back.
