HI

I've been looking at some options for a low to mid range turbo trainer and have found the following ones. Wondered if anyone had any experience of them and could offer an opinion. I ride a Cube Peloton Pro in the summer months.

Jet-black Cycling Mag Pro Hydro Smart Release
http://road.cc/content/review/117572-jetblack-cycl...

Elite Novo Force Trainer
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/elite/novo-for...

CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/cycleops-fluid-...

Elite Qubo Wireless Trainer
http://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/category/access...

I plan on using it quite a lot in the garage so noise, although a concern is not the primary purchase driver. I want a good device which will offer some good resistance training.

Thanks smile

That looks interesting, where did your wife get it from if you don't mind me asking?

Ordered, should be here in 2 days.

Gets good reviews and is half the price of the Cyclops one I looked at.

Be nice to be able to start cycling again.

I'm looking around at cadence and speed sensors now, but I'm looking for something that will integrate with Strava, any suggestions?

I really want the Edge 810 but need to save, so in the mean time I've ordered one of these looks really good and it's less than £50 so I can stay married wink

I ordered that too as it works with Strava, should be here next week. Interested to see how it goes.

Another first time turbo user here smile Picked this up on Tuesday for £70! Just need to pick up a riser block tomorrow and then I'll give it a trial run ans see what my neighbours make of it. Being in a flat noice trvels very well so it will be interesting. Its a fluid filled one so the actual noise will be quiet, but the vibrations may be the killer.

Be interested on your thoughts as I have none whatsoever for mine as I've never used one before.

Well, for the first 5 minutes I used it, was impressed. Quite smooth to use.

Then a crack, I get thrown off and this happens

Arranged with Wiggle for a return, hopefully that'll go smoothly.

I'll get the same one again, this may just have been a defective unit. Bit unfair to judge it on 5 minutes use.

Wiggle claiming I damaged it and refusing the honour the warranty frown

Guess I have to buy another, it won't be from Wiggle though.

Not sure. I set it up as per the instructions, checked my tyre pressures and started riding. 5 mins in, heard a crack and it gave way as per the picture. I wasn't being a dick or using it the wrong way, just cycling and going nowhere 😄

I sent them this video I made for my friend.

Maybe this will show them I wasn't being a muppet.

Bugger me, the video worked. They've agreed to let me return it for an inspection. Its a step in the right direction.
