Wheelsmith Aero 50's
Discussion
So after copious amounts of research these seem to tick all the boxes. Aero... light... handbuilt and at a good price. I'm not convinced by some of the factory offerings at this price point. Campag and Fulcrums decals alone put me right off.
Anyone have these or any experience of them? Everything I have seen so far points to them being awesome however I have read that their customer service is iffy in the event of problems.

I have some Wheelsmith tubulars on King hubs. They have been superb, no issues whatsoever. Only selling them now to make way for my Bora 50's
That's interesting as the Bora's are also on my radar although they are not available in clincher version until March. Do you see the Bora's as an upgrade from the Wheelsmith wheels?Dowks said:
Boras a gift from Mrs Dowks, who was blissfully unaware of the presence of the Wheelsmith set which are now being discretely moved on
That's some missus! Great stuff. Thanks for all advice, Spring is about to arrive so I am about to make the move. Can't wait - so far done the pedals, bottle holders and bar tape so now just wheels to go. I would say I would update the thread but seeing as it isn't going to happen I guess there is no point.
After further research I have gone with the Aero 50's, ordered today. Thanks for all advice, I have done some research on the Bora's and the bottom line is nobody knows when they are coming or with what set up, plus they have already been vastly over ordered so many will be in for a huge wait time. I need mine by April, and I do believe a bespoke handbuilt wheel is going to be pretty much as good as you can get, so I am happy with both the money saving and product.
