cyclehire in marbella
Discussion
I'm going to marbella in two weeks with the family and I have already cleared it with Mrs curtisl to get a ride in whilst I'm out there. Can any one recommend a decent hire place for a road bike? I've seen a few but personal recommendations would be appreciated if anyone has any.
Cheers

Thanks Matt, GranFondo and Evo Sean. I had seen your recommendation already and was going to them if I didn't get any other recommendations. RDJohn, I tried Yep but I cannot see where to hire a bike on their site as it is in Spanish and no translation from what I can see.
Looks like I will be going for the 11 speed Ultrega Felt then and heading towards the mountains. Saying that though, I will have two non cyclists in tow so I think they'd prefer a more coastal route. Time for them to get some unexpected suffer time in I think.

If your thinking of riding the N-340 for fun think again. I use it to get to Puerto Banus and back from Marbella on Sunday's and that's bloomin hairy enough! I do see people cycling along it midweek but it's definitely not for the faint hearted.
If you can get a lift to Ronda then maybe you could try a ride through the Sierra Nieves nature park to El Burgo. It's 15 miles leach way with 1700ft of climb on the way out. That might be a lot of climbing for your friends but it's very pretty. There is a small petrol station in town if you wanted to stop for supplies or a bigger one just the other side of town. I have only gone through there on Sunday's so there may be much more available. Don't be scared by the pictures of lions on the nature park sign, I have yet to see a big cat.
Whereabouts are you going to be staying?
Cheers Matt, that is very handy. I reckon that route will leave me cycling alone for sure.If you can get a lift to Ronda then maybe you could try a ride through the Sierra Nieves nature park to El Burgo. I am staying near a golf course in Guadalmina. I have not been to that neck of the woods before but I was hoping to check out strava for some inspiration and hire a Garmin 800 when I am out there. I am sure that I saw that Marbellarentabike have 800's on hire.
Do you know if they have SPD-SL's fitted as I was going to pack my Bib shorts, jersey and shoes but no point if they are Look peddles or another variety.
I'm looking forward to a ride whilst I am out there. There closest I have gotten to overseas riding is Isle of Wight!
