Looks like SRAM are upping the 1x11 game.

By my calculations the whole lot should cost around £250, and the fact that the 11-42 cassette will fit on a standard free hub instead of having to change to XD looks like a bonus.

Will we see an alternative price comparable option from Shimano soon?

I thought the 1 x 12 was a hoax?
That's going to be one narrow chain to go with that cassette - especially if it's going to fit on a standard free hub.

Looks to be available from April according to BIKERADAR Review.

Guessing places like CRC will probably be knocking a few quid off it to make it even more attractive.
