I'm keen to hear opinions. I was in the market for a comfy road bike and this seems to tick some boxes... but I'm not sure about the technology. Is it just a bit of a gimmick?!

I have a 2016 Roubaix SL4 (with the Zertz) and I love it - very comfortable whilst also being responsive. You can pick up some good end-of-season deals on that model at the moment - I'd recommend giving it a go.
I've ridden the Zertz equipped bike a few times and really liked it - enough that I also looked into getting one on a deal but no one seems to have one in my size (58cm)... also, do love a gadget and having the latest version is always nice too! (but still keen to know about the new tech - although the reviews have been very positive so far!)

I was commuting by bicycle from Lingfield into the city over the Summer which I've really enjoyed, but sadly about 3 weeks ago I got knocked off in Brixton. Happily I didn't suffer too much damage personally, but it pretty much snapped the frame of my Colnago which is a bit gutting (as is holing my PH jersey!).

So I'm back on the Le Mans veteran Allez for now. Fingers crossed I'll be shopping for another bike soon.
Crikey... glad you're ok. I used to commute through Brixton when I lived in Canada Water and Commuted to Caterham by bike... I'm glad you got out alive!!!

Can you blag a demonstration ride?
Not easily - apparently Specialized only supply 54 and 56cm demo bikes... which isn't ideal but I guess is logical based on most people fitting those sizes.

Thanks all,

I'm pretty sure I need a 58, as all the road bikes I've owned previously have been that size (including Specialized ones)... but as has been pointed out the new Roubaix has different geometry, hence why I wanted to try one.

My "local" bike shop - Surrey Hills Cycleworks in Leatherhead is also a Specialized dealer and have 54 and 56cm bikes in stock, but it is a 58 I want to try. I say "local" - I live a hundred miles away from there now but have close ties to it because it is owned by a close friend of mine and I used to work there as a lad.

Anyway, as has been pointed out - so many replies and no one has tried one yet!!!

Nice! Nope, still not ridden one - specialized are now saying late January for 58cm bikes in comp spec so I have to admit I've not been rising. Keen to hear how you find the demo bike though, enjoy it!
