My son ordered a bike from Canyon in September or October 2015. We think it was delivered in about December 2015. He has just received an email purporting to be from Canyon demanding payment for the bike. He genuinely believed he had paid for it. We are not sure he would have paid with his bank card or we, his parents, would have paid by credit card and been refunded by him. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a scam?

We will be checking old bank and credit card statements later!

I suspect a lot of people knew dam well they hadn't paid for their new bikes and have been waiting with their fingers crossed they'd never be asked for it.
It was a genuine surprise to us. Having investigated it would appear we have not been charged. I am very surprised at the lack of financial control at Canyon and the time taken to discover the problem.
