Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a DC2 & have seen one that is in fantastic condition, most suspension is new, lots of waxoil ptotection & resprayed bumpers, bonnet & side sills.

My only concerns is as per the pictures attached.

Would this be concerning to you?

Thanks for the replies!

The car, otherwise, is spot on, lots of new parts & spent some time trying to make A1

It is priced very highly & the fact that after much work restoring the car there is potentially rust (re)emerging, suggests it may need more severe metalwork, which I'm led to believe could be £1,000s rather than £100s to put right.

It's a shame as it's spot on otherwise, I don't think the seller would take that sort of money off the asking price.

Thanks for the replies.

Would these pics help allay anxiety about sill / other worries & could possibly be just a cosmetic repair for the arch?

The inside pics were indeed waxoyl that the current owner has applied.

I guess if rust is coming through, it's coming through and therefore need to negotiate at least £500 off to fix

Owner says is only surface rust that needs painting and that the interior has no rust. I think this is to be taken 'with a pinch of salt'!
