Honda Jazz wheel downsize query
Discussion
My 11 EX has the 16 inch wheels with the expensive tyres.
I'm giving serious consideration to changing down to 15 inch one with 65 profile tyres for the increase comfort (more sidewall) & lower replacement tyre costs.
so far so good - however I don't want to get Honda oem wheels, I'd much rather pick my own.
I've got this information from the internet.
http://www.wheel-size.com/size/honda/jazz/2011/
rim 5.5J x 15 ET55 PCD 4 X 100
centre bore 56.1mm
lug size M12x 1.5
wheel fasteners lug nuts
So I now know what to look for when I go onto the various wheel sites.
The only problem seems to be the ET rating (55) Wheel offset which looks to be somewhat unusual and is severely restricting my choices.
soooo my question is - how important is it? can I go up or down a little?
My current 16 inch rims have a smaller ET rating (presumably because the wheels are slightly wider)
Yes I know it's not very PH'y but lets face it, I didn't get a 99bhp jazz to go to trackdays with

mmmm it wasn't just for the tyres, 65 sidewalls have more flex on the stty roads too, plus the michelin energy savers are getting on for £100 a corner.
I take the point though, maybe I'll just get the existing wheels repainted and suck it up - it's not like I'm going through tyres at a rate of knots anyway. I'll probably only change once for the life of the car until I move it on in a few years.
