Due to our twins being born and having no family over here we are thinking of popping back to the UK for a couple of months to get some help. I want to take my Swiss registered R32, so does anyone know how long I can use it in the UK for? I presume it is only based on the insurance terms and conditions (we are with Basler)?

Congratulations on the twins. An R32 and an R22;)? That would be another nice pairing and we could have a new thread: WelshBoyo - Is this your Robinson?
Haha, sadly I don't own a R22, just borrow ones from the flying clubs.

If you are planning on spending 'months' in the UK though you might also need to check that you don't become tax resident over there, if that is not your radar, as you are supposed to keep records if you wish to maintain 'non-resident' status.
Yep I agree I don't expect to spend more that 2-3 months in the UK, as if we are relocating permanently we will return to Switzerland and sort everything out properly (plus it seems we can only get rid of the Swiss flat with 3 months notice and within those special times (++ summers are amazing here)).

Shame I still really like Switzerland and I did say children won't change me, but then came along 2 very high maintenance twins.

Congratulations. We are in the same situation. Our daughter was born three weeks ago and still trying to work out the support network in Zug.
Wow congratulations too! I can email you a load of helpful links to Zug support groups if you are interested as they have been great for us. We have managed to get some home help for my wife whilst I am in work (although not cheap!). And in Aegeri we are getting a meals on wheels service which is partially funded by local canton and is actually pretty good food (as with twins we have no time to shop, cook, or even eat and this has been the single biggest help).

Think yourselves lucky. We had twins 18 months after the first one....hehe
mybrainhurts - good effort! I never knew twins would be this hard to look after, but oh so fun now that they are starting to notice each other more.

marcusjames - you have PM.
