Good hoon roads near Montreux??

Guys,
On my way to the Monaco GP next May I'm doing an overnight in Montreaux.
Coming down from Reims that day but would like a decent blast before parking up and heading to the pub.
Any local advice of any sort; roads bars etc welcome.

I've looked at 2 routes into Montreux from Reims:

Which would you recommend? Any problems with roads being open in late May?
