Alps tour on August 20

Idea is to leave Zurich area around 6am on August 20. Roads should still be pretty free (last time I went, that was the case. Midday, however, literal convoys of Ferraris were crouching up the passes). I would think about Via Tremola - Nufenen - ...

Tremola is cobble-stone, but worked for me. The other streets are paved normally if I recall correctly. The V8 does not sit particularly low, not sure about the Lotuses... South of black forest is probably nicer with respect to the roads, alps is great for the panoramic views. But I would consider the roads driveable w/o problems.

Saturday looks better early in the morning. I'd say let's wait 'till Friday morning, look at latest forecasts, and decide. Need to check with my non-PH mate if he could do Sunday as well.

So a quick update for those who could not make it: 7 hours of scenic roads with almost perfect weather. Made Old Gotthard road, Nufenen, Furka, Grimsel, Susten. Big fun. Hope some of you will join in next time!

Would be fun to do this with some more of you guys... But season is almost over I guess. Let's do a grand opening event next year once the passes open!
