Track day car hire?
Discussion
If you want something more modest, these guys are good:

I had a GT86 for a day from them for my ARDS and it arrived beautifully prepared and with a very nice chap who checked the tyres, levels, wheel nuts etc..etc.. all day.

With Bookatrack, you can share a car.
Nobody wants to be out driving the circuit for the entire 7 hours of a track day - you'd be absolutely shattered at the end of it.
If it was me I would rather be driving a Caterham, and he was a racer so may well agree, but I can see the attraction of a Boxster if the weather's rubbish.
If said fella has a best mate, or mate-ess, then ask if they would like to share the car and the cost. Its far more fun doing a track day with mates, ideally quite a number in their own cars, giving you someone to run with on track

This is exactly what I'm doing.Nobody wants to be out driving the circuit for the entire 7 hours of a track day - you'd be absolutely shattered at the end of it.

OpenTrack also hire out a Tiger (Caterham lookalike) on their track days:

Had a great time at Pembrey a few months back. Free photos from the day and donuts too
There's a new car hire company called Boss Racing Car Hire that offers 1.6 K series Caterhams through to Championship winning Caterhams C400's plus they have a Radical and Fat By Car GTS. I know the website is not completed yet, however you can contact them on carhire@boss-racing.net where they will do you a good deal for car hire and race mechanic for the day. There's also a 10% discount at the moment to celebrate their launch!

I have used Trackdayhire, the car is a fully prepared Tiger race car, and maintained to a very good standard. The guys that run it are also very knowledgeable and helpful.

I've been with Opentrack 3 times now and each time was great. If you hire their Tiger you get everything included i.e. trackday fee, insurance, second driver, tuition and pictures taken by a professional photographer; that makes it very good value. Nice bunch of people as well which is just as important in my opinion. If I had a day in their Tiger as a BD present I would be extremely happy
Hope this helps
I use http://www.swracecarhire.com
They've a quick Caterham R400 and a couple of Radicals along with less hardcore motors.
You can share the car etc with other drivers, plus they'll coach you if required. No rev restrictions or anything like that.
