Getting sideways & very dirty in the Cheshire countryside !
Discussion
Hi there,
My wife and I bought my son a drifting day at Oulton Park as part of his 21st birthday present. It was the first time for him to take his MX5 out and both he and I (as I passengered with him) thoroughly enjoyed it and we will certainly be doing it again.
There was a great selection of cars out on track and these drift days seem to me to be a great day out for hardly any investment. My son drove his car to the track, drove it pretty much non stop for 7 hours and then drove it home again. The car cost him £1100 and the drift day cost me £129 seems like a bargain.
He plans on some more power for the car as its a little under powered but apart from that we are sure to return to get the track perfected.
Heres some pics of his car and him drifting
Yes he kept the drift in the photo below, quite a save !
and this is how the car looked at the end of the day. With a very happy driver.
Here are some of the other cars out on track during the day
This guy was on it all day, absolutely nailing each corner and in a car that I imagine would be worth a few grand if it was in decent condition.
Hope you like the pics.
Regards
Tim

Got any details of how you managed to book this? I've looked on the Oulton website but I can't find anything about drifting available.

However I think all the dates for 2014 may have taken place so you might need to check the link from time to time for 2015 events.
