Hi guys,
I'm going to do a PCGB track day in May at Castle Combe. 3 questions;
.
1 does anyone know a decent B&B where I can stay overnight nearish to the circuit?
2 anyone have any tips on this circuit for a newbie to track days ?
3 what is the best value budget but decent open face helmet to buy ? I'd rather purchase as I intend to do a few track days this year and can always bung on eBay if I have no further use from it.

Thanks

For what it's worth , I would scrub some speed off before you crest Avon rise and then back on the anchors after the crest in a road car on your first time at Castle Combe, depends on the car your using to some degree.

Blimey, not sure i should have asked now....reads like certain serious car damage and a day from hell..aand I'm paying for it. Wifey will kill me if I damage the Spyder...

This versus the club bumpf "The emphasis is on safety and fun, there can be no competition element. Each track day starts with a comprehensive drivers' briefing. The first session on track will be led by a car with an instructor in it with a strict no-overtaking policy whilst familiarisation laps take place. Instructors are available all day and will teach you more than you can imagine."

I guess the message is take it easy, don't get overly confident and hope it's dry...

Thanks guys.
Can I ask - for an average driver what is the sort of top speed I will hit in the Spyder on the fastest straight ?
