Hi all,

I'm getting married next year and I would like to do a track day for my stag (yes, yes, I know it's not my job to plan it but humour me here...)

I've never actually done one before but I've got time to potentially get some practice in beforehand. None of my stag party of 12ish bar one or two will have any experience.

My initial idea was for everyone to chuck in £50 or so, buy a roadworthy track-able near wreck and then take it in turns driving the wheels off it at Oulton Park or some such place.

Does anything about this seem feasible? H

ow would you go about this?

One of the best stag do's I've been on was a more 'top gear' style.

We teamed up as 4's then bought a car off ebay sight unseen for £500.

All met up and had various challenges with the cars making our way up towards the EVO triangle. Blast around there then back to the Shakespeare County Raceway for some drag strip action.

All over 3 days.

Flogged the car at the end, whole event cost about £200 each. Was well organised by the best man and much fun. Never tried proper off roading in a V12 Jag before !
That sounds mega but I think I'd be stretching it getting that done when I not technically supposed to be organising it.

So it looks like my original thought plan is a total bust. Don't get me wrong, I love karting but I think it's a bit run of the mill for a stag. I'll look into the Palmersport thing. Any other suggestions for something automotive? (FYI this is likely to be the 1st bank hol of May next year).
