Well bloody hell, just bagged open pit lane on the full GP circuit for £225 with Opentrack - what an absolute bargain!

Anyone else coming along - i'm excited already, feels almost like a privilege to actually get to drive the famous circuit in anger in my own car biggrin

This! Having a few teething issues with a recent rack change, it suddenly seems very close!

My first time so need to get some practice in on Forza so I'm not too much of a rolling road block

Yes power wise bar exhaust/induction it is standard so I'll be intrigued to see how it gets on at a faster circuit like silverstone (it faired remarkedly well at Bedford a few months ago)

It is very light and has tonnes of other upgrades focussed on handling/gear change etc so I shouldn't be too much of a rolling road block all being well....

Time to start praying to the weather gods

That's good I was hoping that there would be a few cars of similar power to mine going round, my mate is taking his st instead of his saxo so I won't see much of him and I'm to chicken to take my road car.
You say that, but I've been to Bedford a number of times recently with a good mate in his ST (circa 300bhp stage 2 or 3 from memory) and yes on the straight he's gone, but over an entire lap I was quicker and that is fast 4 mile track with a long straight

Hi Dave,

Have you hired it out? Would be great to see it on track!

How full is the day now, is it set to be a busy one? - Massively looking forward to it smile

Does anyone know how the garages work at Silverstone, I assumed it was the new pits setup, so effectively everyone gets a garage as they open front and back?

I wasn't timing as such however did have my Harry's lap timer on in my glove box

Is 2m 32s any good first time round the track or not.
It was my first time too at Silverstone too, what car were you in?

Time wise that sounds reasonable but I'm not sure as I wasn't timing/had any way of even checking!

Thanks mate.

What do you mean calm place? It's noisy and bumpy as fk in there haha!
Haha! Just sounded like you didnt need to thrash every last rpm out of the car to be as quick as the other Clio's etc. My poor old pug spent the entire day at 7k rpm
