trackdays and insurance - not the usual quesion.

I've just phoned the AA for a insurance quote and they quesioned why i had a roll cage. I told them i do trackdays and they said that doing trackdays would invalidate my insurance on the road. As they don't want people crashing on the track and claiming it happened on the road.

Thought I better let people know this as its not something i'd ever consider. I've always just accepted that i'm not insured on the track.

there quote wasn't any good anyway. I doesn't really bother me as my cars probibly worth more in bits so i'd never claim anyway.

Just thought they might use it as a get out of paying up if anyone was to crash a car worth alot of money.
