training for a 2nd job??
Discussion
Ok guys, im 3 months in to a new job and just been offered a full contract with a small rise, but without sounding ungrateful, it aint enough for our current financial situation, i love the job as its exactly what i have been doing for the last ten plus years before being made redundant, so rather than leave and find something else altogether i want to learn a trade and be able to do this as a part time enterprise to earn some extra income
My problem is im not sure what to train in, i am quite handy with tools and enjoy a bit of diy here and there so was thinking of something along those lines.
Anyone willing to give some input on best routes trades and places to start would be great

Fair point, im currently in the insurance repair sector for a network approved building contractor, surveying, estimating and reporting then project managing the job from start to finish. I was thinking of something along the lines of ceramic tiling as i've done this successfully at home on a number of projects. I also thought about man with a van or even window cleaning.
we dont have an extravagant life style by any stretch, hence the reason for some extra income for some little treats here and there.
I want to be able to send my eldest son to Kumon school once a week and this will cost in the region of 50 quid a month so an extra 200 a month is my target.
