Missed out on bonus because I left employment?

You may have seen a thread in the finance section, where my P11D had an addition for approx 3000 pounds for an incentive trip (for exceeding targets).
The trip was in January and was to compensate for the calendar year 2013, when I was an employee. I left in April 2014, and in Sept 2014 employees were given a bonus to compensate for the addition of the item on the P11D, and hence a large tax bill.
Do I have any claim to this bonus?

Doesn't sound like it was within the normal contract terms and was very likely discretionary. It may well be worth a letter to the company to enquire, but I think you may be out of luck on this one The trip was in January and was to compensate for the calendar year 2013, when I was an employee.
