Worth it? Beng top up degree DL.
Discussion
I know its not a job, but training, but its the nearest place I could find to put it.
Right I'm temped to do this.

I already have a HND (Computer aided engineering), 2 city and guilds in AutoCAD, and a few nvq's in Engineering operations. I've worked in Machine shops doing toolmaking (manual turning, milling, grinding, welding etc),and a good few years as a CNC setter and programmer (mainly turning), and a wee bit of drawing here and there (auto cad and inventor). This summer I will have been in the industry for 11 years (I'm 27, I started working in engineering straight out of school).
But is it worth doing, will I end up with a better job and better wages? Plus I don't really want to stop working either, So I would have to study around a 39 hour working week (But I might be able to cut it down a bit), hence the whole distance learning thing sounds pretty appealing.
I know there are a good few Engineers on here, but I wouldn't mind hearing the opinions / experience of anyone who came from the shop floor and went up the ladder so to speak. Or about the degree itself.
