Wondering if anyone has any ideas with regards to my other half, she has been working for a retail company for 9 years started as part time staff and has worked her way to supervisor for one of the departments. The problem is she is starting to loath the place, it’s the same routine every week and she has had enough. She is now seriously thinking of leaving, I have tried to warn her the grass is not always greener as it is a very comfortable and secure job, she also has potential to progress to manager of the department but that is probably another 2 years away. She is fully first aid trained and has done copious amounts of managerial training through work. She has decided she also doesn’t want to work weekends and does not really want to work in retail any more, the problem is she doesn’t know what she wants to do. I have suggests maybe trying to get into purchasing side of things for a similar company which she is looking into but no amount of CV’s and application forms have generated many interviews. She seems to be hearing from companies wanting trainees or juniors but we couldn’t afford the income drop of around £4K (mortgage to pay etc). Is it worth her signing up to a recruitment agency perhaps?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
