So I recently left my job due to issues with one of the partners of the firm that I was working for, and am now in a situation where I'm struggling to get an interview or make any sort of progress when it comes finding a new job.

I've always had a job since I was about 14 (now 26) having worked in both retail (a former large sports store that went bust, and a well known high street chemist) whilst I was at college and university, and for the last couple of years since graduating with a degree in Business Management, Ive been working for a couple of accountancy firms.

Now due to the fact that I want to move away from the accountancy side of business, and would love to try and get into the marketing side instead, Ive been applying for all sorts of potential job roles that involve marketing in some shape or form so that I can gain some sort of experience that will help going forward in the future but I've heard either nothing, or that apparently I dont have the qualities they are looking for. Ive tried tailoring my CV to focus on the qualities that they are looking for but it really doesnt seem to make any difference in my success.

Slight desperation has meant that Ive been widening the range of roles that I have been applying for but its still the same situation. It seems like all the actual work experience, coupled with the Business degree counts for nothing to help me in today's job market.

Is there any advice anybody has, because at the moment I'm feeling a bit lost about this whole situation and really dont want to worry the girlfriend that Im actually starting to panic and stress out.
