Commision and Bonus payments not clear

Can anyone help with this one.
We get paid a basic salary and also commision and bonus on top of this.
Our payslip only shows Basic/Commision/Bonus and does not break down or indicate what makes up the commision and bonus amounts.
Our employer claims it cannot be shown on the payslip as its handled by an outside company and that a breakdown cannot be provided to individuals as it would be too time consuming?!
Therefore we keep track of what we think we should be getting paid but it is very rarely the same as what we receive.
The amount usually is close to what is expected...for example, calculated to expect £100 but receive £91.18. Although sometimes it can be well off.
Should our employer be providing us with this information...they seem to think it is ok just for seemingly random amounts to be paid.
