We are looking for some advice on moving from the US to the UK or Europe.

We are both in our early 40s, with no children and are looking to make a move. Either back to the UK or northen Europe. There shouldn't be too much culture shock as we have both lived in Europe before.

With the Brexit vote now done, has there been impact on living and working in Europe and what is likely over the next year or so?

I am a British citizen with a UK passport, my wife is an American citizen with a US passport. We met in New York 8 years ago and got married (just outside NYC) 4 years ago. I now have a green card but no imediate plans to become a citizen.

I have by own consulting company that advises companies on how to use Artificial Intelligence to improve business operations. While I could rebuild the company, all the contacts and staff are in the US. I also like the idea of working in an established organization again.

My wife as a data scientist consultant, who tells places like Harvard and The Gates Foundataion how to run their programes better. There is a possibility that she could continue working for her consulting company, she would just need to bring in more clients.

We both happen to have a uniques set of stills and have presented professionally in each field, so should fit the criteria of knowledge worker.

Would be great to hear of anyone's experience making the move.

Hi Oliver, your post made me chuckle, there's you giving me advice for my daughter wanting to live in California and you wanting to come the other way.
I can't help with advice on your work decisions as my experience is in the clothing industry.
However as I live in London I can give you advice on how things are here.
I also travel to Europe a fair bit so may be able to help you there.
PM me if you want to.
Yes, I get the irory there...

I lived in Italy before I moved to the US, but my (ex) wife also had a UK passport so there were no issues imigration wise. The whole process was very easy but I am guessing things are going to change.
