Good morning all, I'm hoping for some advice from the Ph knowledge base.

I've been self employed for a long time and looking to get back into employment. I need to compile my CV and was hoping to get a few examples or templates that I can tailor to my own requirements.

I'm a trained Vehicle technician ( Jaguar ) and looking to move into Train maintenance. I would appreciate a few pointers to good templates, but not sure if this is the best way ?

I've never really had a CV as I left school and was given my apprenticeship on the basis of my 1 weeks work experience. I then moved within the dealer network where any future employer could find out my abilities and qualifications quite easily via the manufacturer.

So I would like a modern looking CV that I can tailor. I'm looking online, but I am wondering whether employers can spot a template type and think that it is laziness, or am I over thinking things.

Any links or ideas would be great.

Thanks

Thanks for the kind offers and replies. I have 2 friends which have offered to read over it, as they are both in recruitment, but not in the field I am hoping to enter.

I may still take you up on the offers people.
