M5/M6 owners. How do your cars perform in the winter(tyres)

Do you all put winter tyres on? Essential? Are these things manageable in snowy/icy conditions?

This might sound stupid but winter tyres make that much difference?

Winter tyres are all about the sipes. Amazing grip on snow and driving a rear wheel drive car is a breeze.

You will have no problem. Make sure you do all 4 though.
