Hi folks,
I'm new to the forums but have been a "Spectator" according to social technographics ladder for many years on pistonheads .

I have been watching the prices of the Bmw 1M for the last 6 months and truth be told ,these cars are just getting more expensive every time I look. I'm am desperate for one now and can only envy those who bought them brand new.

Fingers crossed I will find one with the right spec and at the right price soon so I can join the club.

I was in the same boat with the CSL recently, I watched as the prices slowly crept up until I bit the bullet and bought one smile
Congratulations in order! Hang on to the CSL .They are indeed an investment. Seen one for £53k with very low mileage .

Two black 1M's :
Bmw Bristol 7500 miles vs Automotive Dreams 9000 miles at the minute for me to go have a look at.
However there is about 3 grand difference in price for nearly the same spec .
What gives?Surely both cars are under warranty so shouldn't make much difference.

About a month ago Sytner Sunningdale said they would only knock £500 of the selling price eek
I suppose I was not ready to buy then and probably the dealer didn't want to show his hand . Anyone know if more negotiation is possible if cash was involved( ie finance via bank loan already in account)
I could be wrong but the 1M is only going to be popular with BMW AUC up until their new toy arrives F30 M3.
Just speculating. Either way I'm buying a 1M in the next month so will keep you guys posted.

I bought my VO on Saturday and personally only looked to buy one with as many toys as I could get.
Satnav/ Idrive was a must. I was very happy to get a low mileage one and pay the premium.

Off topic but does anyone else get sooo much attention in their 1M's? :-) Sadly mine are more from male onlookers lol!

Hi Mic,
I have had mine now for just over a month. I didn't sleep much for a week from the moment I saw the car and placed a deposit with the dealer. I find any excuse now to jump into the car and drive it. Get used to positive comments, thumbs up from motorcyclists, a girl snapping up a quick pic and then pulling up next to you and saying " I want that as me next car", ogled from teenage boys , the occasional wannabe trying to race you and asked to rev the engine at traffic lights .
You will enjoy it , I promise but I can't guarantee any of the above ;-)

If the car is under warranty and they all should be( 3 year warranty) , you have nothing to worry about apart from the tyres really.
Buy it! drive it and enjoy it and when you have finished start saving for that Akropovic !

I'm pleased to tell you I collected one last week.smile
Congratulations Mic! Enjoy and do tell us your experiences with it. Makes for good reading.

As for the M235i, of course BMW will try and capitalise on the name of the 1M and market this tidy M235i against the benchmark .They don't need to sell 1M's anymore but what they do need to sell is an abundance of M235i's. This is marketing propaganda at it finest. With the limited numbers of the 1'Ms, my personal opinion is that they will drop to a point ( around 22k to 25k) initially and then make their way back over time.

Like any car, enjoy what you bought. Before we know it ,the BMW M2 marketing will begin and the 1M will drop to £1000 ;-)
