F10 M5 warranty work - what's yours had done?
Discussion
3 months in and love the car, it really is everything and more than I thought it would be, however a few niggles......
Driver side indicator is always full of moisture - being replaced
Irritating rattle in drivers door right by the lock button which drives me mad - I assume door card off or a bash it with a hammer!
There was a small indentation in the front passenger seat side bolster under the leather which looks unsightly and frankly I'm surprised the seat got through QC - front seat out, taken apart with stuffing sorted and back together.
Other than that, brilliant.
And other owners, what have you had done (or needs doing)?

An update.....
Still more work being done
Rear inner lights fitted incorrectly and both cracked - replaced
Drivers side indicator full of moisture - replaced
Passenger side indicator discoloured black plastic - replaced
Rear passenger side suspension removed and refitted as it should be
I'm not fussed, the mileage and time to the dealers is a pita and I'm going to write to BMW to make them aware I'm deducting mileage from my contract.
Still a great car and I'm hoping these are niggles.

Cheers. I'm fussy too. The worst thing is day one a nasty stone chip on the nose and noticed the other day on the roof now too. But that's the beauty of contract hire, all the other cars I've owned if this happens it does my head in.
I'm pretty sure that's why I'm not fussed about the faults, however as I stated I will be asking for a mileage allowance due to warranty work. Not good news this morning.
Tool to tighten suspension is broken and I'm without a car for another day or so.
I've now made an official complaint to BMW, the car has been off the road for more than 2 weeks since I delivery, I've traveled in excess of 400 miles getting it to and from the dealers for warranty work. I would like additional mileage added to my contract and two weeks monthly contract payment figures in my account.
Not Vines fault and they have been superb but I'm somewhat irritated now............

Not bothering to start a thread yet, but how do everyones gear shift paddles sound?
Strange question but the right side is silent and the left makes a click/clack when you pull it.
Not the biggest problem but mildly irritating
I'm too busy hanging on to notice Strange question but the right side is silent and the left makes a click/clack when you pull it.

Mine are firm but make no noise.
And the paddles are very similar before I get a funny reply.

Nothing needed doing on mine in 4 months/2k miles and I'm very fussy!
Nothing since picking the car up 1st September and 6250 miles.Anyway, this isn't too shabby and the colour looks good albeit difficult to maintain and keep clean if like my previous dark cars

Cheers, might take it in, just sounds a bit cheap changing down.Mine are firm but make no noise.

I really had to hang on today, a bit too quick over a (well sighted) bump and all 4 wheels airborne!
Yeehaa
I can report that the F10 flies level and lands softer than a Ryanair 737 lol.

If this is the one I see at the Crawley branch it is Lovely car and very nicely spec'd. Having got mine back the only comment I have it appears dull against my Silverstone II/Sakhir which just seems to lift the car.
Got mine back now however I am in negotiations with the DP to compensate me for the number of visits/fuel/time etc. spent having mine fixed.
I'll report back but it's looking positive so far.

That's not good! What was wrong and how did you spot it?W8PMC said:
After the 2nd Drivetrain failure that appeared to be an exact repeat of the 1st, i have rejected my car & am awaiting the delivery of a new one.
Still no idea what was the cause or diagnosis but BMW have been accommodating in providing me a new X5 M50D to play with until my new M5 arrives, they refunded 1 payment, obviously no more payments whilst i await my new car & have given me circa £2k of additional options FOC on the new M5.
In all the outgoing car had 2 Drivetrain failures (obviously the 1st was not diagnosed &/or fixed correctly, it also suffered with an oil seal leak which needed replacing & a dodgy wheel sensor that was never fixed as they couldn't replicate the fault, although it was the dealer than found the fault

I'm not causing a fuss other than asking for some additional mileage to cover my numerous trips to the dealer to have warranty work completed.
It's a bloody great car

Did somebody mention squealing brakes! Has anyone raised this - had it fixed?
Mine squeal on occasion but a damn good thrashing seems to sort them out I also have a grown (quite a peculiar sound in fact) that comes from the rear once I've stopped and put the hand break on.

Every time I lock the car pretty much.

My handbrake makes a slight groan like the ones above when I put it on in the garage (don't notice it outside as it's not that loud), it's definitely the brake as you can sit in the car for a longer time with it switched off and it then makes the noise just as I get up and the suspension moves, probably moving the brake slightly at a guess.
I think that's it Obviously I'm a fat bd and the car is raising itself slight on the rear suspension when I get out
