Hi all,

proud owner of a (new to me) E92 M3. Black/Silver with a few toys.. Very pleased so far. Obligatory picture attached smile

Couple of questions if I may:
  • Anyone else had shimmy issues 75-90mph? Mine was quite bad, and a trip to swindon tyres this morning for road-force balance, and tracking has significantly improved but not totally eliminated it
  • Is there anywhere recommended which sells brake discs relatively cheaply? The rears are evidently shot on mine
many thanks! Dave.

thanks guys for the comments.

It's a manual by the way, don't do many miles these days, and short of a GTR, I didn't want my cogs changed for me. No matter how good the 'box may be.

Love the car so far, keep finding a requirement to mash the throttle and hear the engine sing! Cracking unit. Considering the OEM exhaust mod next month.

Seems discs really are as expensive as they seemed smile

Discs and tyres are in the future, it's mostly eliminated now, so hopefully will be fully solved in due course. Will have the thrust arms checked when it's next on a ramp too - thanks for that.

I can certainly recommend the OEM exhaust mod. I had mine done for £120 and it sounds epic.

I can also recommend the F10 M5 gear knob. It is quite simply the single best mod you can do to a manual E92 M3. It transforms the gear change from a tall springy feel of the OEM knob to a shorter solid feel. It retains the illumination as well.

I don't know what year your car is but I can also recommend a CIC Retrofit and LCI rear lights as well. It's expensive owning an E92 M3. biggrin
Where did you get exhaust mod for that price? Someone else was talking up 200quid in Bristol. (I'm in the southeast)

I'll check the gear knob mods smile

Mine missed LCI by a couple of months I think. It's first registration was June 2009. Both cic and later lights are pricey mods I think? The nav seems even older fashioned than the one on my A6 :P I'm keen to get DAB added, probably this is the first priority....
