Put deposit on a car with bmw...is it refundable?

As above.....placed deposit on an m5....now getting cold feet and insurance renewal also proving to be problematic

I only put the deposit of £1k on friday evening, and insyrance quotes due to the postcode rating are proving to be prohibitive

I paid deposit via debit card rather than credit card

Will bmw return the deposit or have I just lost £1k by making a hasty decision

Ive not actually seen the car and thexdeal was negotiated over the phone....do distancexselling regulations kick in and allow me a cooling off period?

ill see what they say in the morning.....im hoping that they will refund without any quibble but ull have to just play it by ear

Its taught me a lesson....never make big decisions on impulse....i shoukd have sleot on ut and done my honework

order cancelled and deposit refunded

BMW were very good about it and I didnt even have to ask for return of deposit
