Finally, after a lot of looking, I bought my dream M3 yesterday.

It will be ready in a week or so - having some "stuff" done to it before I pick it up.

Spec as follows:

2004 (53) car
Fbmwsh
90k
Techno violet
Coupe
Black leather
Manual
Genuine CSL wheels
Eisenmann sport exhaust being fitted
All interior trim being hydro dipped with purple accents to match paint
Steering wheel and gear knob being re trimmed in alcantara with purple stitching.

I know this thread is useless without pics but I only have one and the car looks black in that pic.
I grew up wanting a techno violet e36 m3 and the colour is simply stunning in the sun.

I don't think there are many e46's out there in this individual colour. In the sun yesterday it looked the same colour as a cadburys wrapper! I'm so pleased!

Looked at 2 verts and this coupe (mrs P wanted a soft top) but they were incredibly cramped (felt smaller than my 325ti) and the chassis flex over bumps was very noticeable. Plus I felt like a knob out in the open when the roof was down!

Biggest issue for me was the tape deck! That'll be going as soon as the car comes home.

Sorry for the lack of pics, you (and me) will have to wait!

Edited to add, I get a days drifting tuition at Santa pod if I want it for free too!
Not too sure about that tbh but might be good for a giggle.

Found some pics on the dealers website:

They're not great quality but you get the idea.

Nice.

The rear tyres look to be the wrong profile?

Has the Boot floor/subframe been done?, you are outside of the BMW goodwill period if not.
cannot honestly answer the profile question... what should they be?

boot floor was inspected jan of this year at BMW and there were no issues.

It is from nick. He's a good guy - knows his stuff.

Got to see all his toys - he's got some lovely metal at the moment. Was trying to talk SWMBO into a Dakar yellow one! But she wasn't having any of it.

Ended up being at his for a few hours talking and driving.

That's pretty cool!
I can't really blame the tape deck on you! Just don't do it again next time! smile

It's in fantastic condition now. It still had the original wheels on it - I just prefer the proper csl ones.

nice

but it looks to sit quite high in standard form
It'll be dropped very slightly.
I might space the wheels a touch too.

i plan to!

he has got so many cars atm, i could have been talked into spending a whole lot more. in fact, he talked me down from my initial reason to go and see him.

tbh, there are very mixed reviews with the popular eibach set-up. i wouldnt usually just use springs.

its booked in with Technosport for a general going over and they will advise accordingly.
